AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

This park is located about 240km south east of Nairobi. Amboseli national park is the second most popular park in Kenya after the Maasai Mara game reserve. With an estimated area of 392km squared the park offers a unique game viewing experience due to a very sparse vegetation caused by long dry months. The park is famous for it’s the only park in the world where you can get really close to the African bush elephants which are present here in their numbers. The lake Amboseli spices up game viewing by playing host to about 400 species of birds including the

  • Flamingoes
  • Pelicans.
  • Hamerkops
  • Crakes,
  • Kingfisher

and about fifty of the raptor species. This park also provides a wonderful view of Mt Kilimanjaro the highest free standing mountain in the world.
