LAKE NAKURU NATIONAL PARK

Deriving its name from the rift valley soda lake that makes up part of the park, its best known for hosting a very high concentration of flamingoes along its shores. The park is about 188km squared and is specifically important because it serves as a sanctuary for the protection of

  • Southern white Rhinocerous.
  • Eastern black Rhinocerous
  • Rothchild girraffes .

 apart from these species the park provides the opportunity to view four of the big five species of Africa.
